A lil’ wedding sampler…  There are so many favorite moments, details, and images. It all began with the wedding party getting ready at the W in midtown. The morning was filled with excitement, anticipation and girl talk. There was a spread of delicious yummies and plenty of mimosas to go around. Ahhh, how I love a good Southern wedding! Barrett wore her grandmother’s wedding gown from 1942. Seeing the light pass through as it hung in the window of a super modern hotel overlooking the Atlanta skyline set my mood for the rest of the day. It was an awesome reminder of how weddings culminate the old and new, generations past, and those to come.  The whole day was a true celebration of friends, family, and the beautiful couple they all love so much. Congratulations Barrett and Don!

Barrett was a beautiful bride. I knew she would be. She asked me to photograph her wedding long before she was engaged and way before I had even considered doing weddings. It is an honor to photograph anyones big day but especially a friend. We are old high school buddies who always had a good time together. I could reminisce but I won’t share too much (the first time I was ever grounded was thanks to one of our shenanigans, if that gives you an idea!) It was an extra fun day and my biggest challenge was working, and not chit- chatting with the bridesmaids (also, old friends!) I am excited to post the official wedding sneak peak “sampler” soon. I just came across this image and could not wait to share! Mrs. Corona is simply stunning.

This morning we took James Henry to see the “Bebos” (two year old talk for “Nemo” as in Finding Nemo = fish) at the Georgia Aquarium. It never disappoints, and is always magical.

Tis the season for family portraits!   Actually, this is Clara’s one year session. Happy Birthday sweet girl! Working on these images I could not help but get excited about the holidays. They inspired me to create a Christmas station on my Pandora radio. So festive!

I love Tennessee. It is such a joy to photograph the colors, boots, barns, and super cool families. I cannot imagine living anywhere else.  Ask me again in January, and I may be threatening a move to southern California! Ha! For now, you just can’t beat the fall in the south.

Another amazing family from my hometown in Douglasville, Georgia. I love this time of year and the magical way the sunset can light up the woods. It is like the leaves are having one last hurrah before leaving us for the winter. We will miss you lovely leaves, thank you for being so beautiful- See you in the spring! Ha!

We met downtown Douglasville for some portrait fun. We were having a great time until we all ended up with ants in our pants! Ouch! I love my hometown clients, and consider myself extra blessed to be able to work with amazing families here and there (Georgia and Tennessee).

…and a sleepy little brother. Many couples, like us, had a baby before the children ever came along. A real friend and truly a member of the family. I love that when this spunky little girl would yell at him, he just looked at me, as if to say, do you see what I put up with everyday?! Good ol’ Woody, such a good dog!
