Angie and I were ADPi’s together at The University of Tennessee. She found me on facebook and contacted me about photographing her wedding. I was so super duper nervous! I consider it a great honor to be responsible for a couple’s wedding memories. It was tons of fun and  as you can see, a good time was had by all. It was a beautiful setting and spirits were high despite the down pour of rain. I asked Angie a few questions so you can hear what she had to say about their BIG day!

Describe your wedding flowers: My flowers were amazing. They were done by Always In Bloom in Knoxville, TN and they were just fabulous! Leonard did exactly what I described to him!! I used greens and creams and just played up the beautiful outdoor setting that we were using as our ceremony site.

Describe your wedding cake:  I saw a picture of a green, wedding cake with creme filigree on it. I loved the cake. I printed off the picture and took it to Peggy at MagPies in Knoxville, and told her that is exactly what I wanted…. when I saw it on the Big Day… I was blown away! They create incredible cakes and I knew it would be perfect.

Tell us about finding your wedding dress: It was the first one I tried on!  I knew it was THE ONE!

Tell us about your location/ why did you chose it? It is my parents farm house in Greeneville, TN. That is where they are going to retire. I thought it would be really meaningful to bring our kids (their grand kids) back to the place we were married.

What was the design inspiration for your wedding? The green cake!

What was your most memorable moment about your wedding day?  The moment I saw Tommy! I also loved how all the “visions” of the wedding came to life! The flowers, the cake, the table settings, the band, my family, EVERYTHING. I just loved it all!

Three adjectives that describe the day are: Perfect. Amazing. and Filled with love.

Our favorite detail of the wedding was: Freezer pops!

Thanks Angie and Congratulations to you both!

bhdemilyChristmas is coming! Ha! So maybe it is still 80 degrees outside but it is in fact time to plan your family Christmas card. I am very excited to work with two fabulous stationers to offer my clients the coolest Holiday cards. Beth Hart is classic and cute and Emily Holmes is fun and whimsical. You may choose  a card that you see here, one of the many on their sites, or have one custom made for your family. If you have an image from your family portrait session this year that you would like to use for a card you may purchase that image from me for $30. I will send it to Beth or Emily and then you may order your cards from them. If you need an image to use…

I had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful wedding yesterday. Angie was absolutely stunning. I am currently sorting through and editing all of the images and portraits from the BIG day and could not wait to share at least one! Sort of a sneak, sneak peek!
