It’s that season again- time for fall family portraits! I love seeing this family and catching up- we’ve been getting together for almost three years now- Benson is getting so big and has some really impressive football moves!

Happy first birthday to sweet, sweet Andrew!

We spent last weekend at “grandmother’s mountains” in Blue Ridge, Georgia.  It’s such a joy to watch James Henry in the great outdoors. He ran right up the mountain to see the waterfall. We were shocked that he was able to do it. He assured us that he could by exclaiming, “I’m a Hiker Man momma!” It made me extra excited to be the mother of two boys. It gave me a glimpse into the future of being outside, enjoying creation.  Eli was back at the cabin soaking up lots of attention, but we look forward to taking him soon.

My friend Mary Grace gifted her husband with portraits for their wedding anniversary. It was a lovely celebration of their beautiful family.

Caitlin is the coolest. She just graduated from high school, has a crazy love for Jesus, is smart, funny, beautiful, and in a few weeks is off to serve special needs orphans in China for a year.  I told you she was the coolest.

Aren’ t these just the sweetest lil’ Georgia peaches! I love a hometown visit and the chance to work with friends, “back where I come from”-

and this cutie is ONE! We had a quick mini-session to capture that sweet face before she gets any bigger. They change so fast and I love being the one to capture it all.

A few favorites from our trip to the beach- It was extra special to celebrate Eli’s first birthday and Father’s Day with the people we love in such a beautiful place- 

I cannot believe that Eli is going to be one this month! ONE?!  I decided that I’d better hurry up and take all of the baby pictures of him that I’ve been meaning to get around to- So here he is, almost not a lil’ baby anymore… Almost a one year old. He is ready for the title- Cruisin and crawling like lightening around the house. He wants to do everything with brother and does his best to keep up.

James Henry mid-scentence- telling me about his horse, Wildfire. The boy talks, and talks, and talks. Always talking! So much to say-

They’re the sweetest brothers and love to be together. Eli gets in James Henry’s bed as soon as he wakes up every morning.

  Eli insist on feeding himself and this is the scene at almost every mealtime-

Bear with his “sand pile”- I love his imagination- Here you can see that the ladies were enjoying a nice picnic, when the lion came out of nowhere and scared them half to death- So, now the lion is in time- out. Of course he is.

That is life with a one, and a two year old: Precious, fun, funny, messy, exhausting, and flying by much to fast.
